The Spoken English used by African Americans in conversa-tion is often considered as “slang”. However, were you aware that it is a unique dialect of Standard English with its own rules of grammar and syntax?

Attendees will learn about the main features of this dialect and engage in practice sessions to see how this dialect im-pacts the work of ASL interpreters.
