The University of Houston’s African American Studies Program is hosting a workshop-conference on Africana Aesthetics: Blacks in Film, Media, and Communications. Papers are being solicited which focus on the sub topics themes, which address both cultural and structural approaches to the study of Africana Aesthetics phenomena internationally. Equally important, academic, independent, scholars and students are encouraged to submit proposals for review. Abstracts should be no longer than 2 paragraphs and should be submitted by January 17, 2014. Additionally, registration fees will be required to paid in order for conference presentation confirmation of presenters.
