Ranger Challenge

Ranger Challenge

Every Fall ROTC cadets participate in Ranger Challenge. Ranger Challenge is a three day event that tests a cadet’s physical and mental strength with tasks that range from first aid to timed competitions of land navigation. Our 2007 team finished exceptionally well, especially our women’s team that took 2nd place.

Color Guard

Color Guard

This organization is responsible for bearing our Nation’s Flag during all major social events. We have participated in all athletic events for UH and its associate schools, veteran groups, and numerous organizations that request our presence for the Colors.

Community Service

Walk for Autism

ROTC also gives back to the community by voluntarily participating with many organizations. Army ROTC has helped by either raising money, awareness, or volunteering services to organizations such as VA, Walk For Autism, and No More Victims.

German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge

German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge

The GAFPB badge is an award from the German Army that shows that the following individuals completed a three day event that encompasses track and field, swimming, shooting, and a 30km ruck march event. Cadets Duncan, Sprawling, and Fanning have met the challenge and plan to lead other cadets to the same distinction.

Veteran’s Day Parade

Veteran's Day Parade

Every year Houston ROTC pays tribute to their brothers and sisters in arms by marching in the Houston Veteran’s Day Parade. Thousands showed up to pay tribute to their fellow Americans who are and who have served the military.
