TEACHING ASSISTANTSHIPS
The Keyboard Collaborative Arts Area's goal is to have a fleet of well-trained collaborative artists saturating every area of applied performance in the school. This area will be the effective catalyst in alleviating and facilitating all aspects of music training in each area. The teaching assistants will not only work with instrumentalists; they will also assist undergraduate piano majors in the prepararation of their assigned acccompaniments. They will have opportunities to work directly with Applied Faculty members and will spend time accompanying students, coaching instrumentalists and vocalists, playing masterclasses and auditions which occur frequently throughout the semester. Currently there is one position available. Potential students interested in our D.M.A. in Piano Performance with an emphasis on Collaborative Arts will see these positions as opportunities for specialization and 'on-the-job' experience in playing, coaching and teaching.
