Welcome to the Spanish AS A SECOND Language Program

The University of Houston recognizes the need to prepare students to function in a world that has become increasingly diverse and interdependent. The Spanish as a Second Language Program, a division of the Department of Hispanic Studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences of the University of Houston, is committed to assisting the University in meeting this achievement. Therefore, the Spanish Language Program teaches courses that provide Spanish language and culture proficiency to students of diverse background and proficiency.
