Our curriculum is student-centered, competency-based, and includes significant critical thinking and problem solving exercises, text analysis, socio-historical contextualizing, etc. As much as budgetary considerations allow, we encourage small group instruction necessary for learning languages, cultures and literatures. We are constantly seeking resources to add new languages representing Houston’s diverse ethnic groups. MCL aspires to foster a commitment to life-long learning and provides an environment where students develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills consistent with the highest standards.
