AN 18-HOUR INTERDISCIPLINARY MINOR
Complementing
MCL’s specific language and area studies programs
by helping students to develop academic concentrations(e.g.,
in Arabic Studies, Film, 3rd world literature, Business,
etc.)tailored to their career interests, aspirations and
needs in the age of globalization
and global clashes.
TOP
WCL REQUIREMENTS
3
hours in World Cultures through Literature and the Arts, WCL 2351 .
3 hours in Frames of Modernity I or II WCL 4351 or 4352 .
3 hours in an MCL 3 or 4,000-level course in the student’s language
area
and/or in a class on race, gender, women’s or non-Western studies.
9 hours chosen according to the student’s declared program emphasis.
As many as three approved courses may be taken outside MCL itself .
Up to six (6) hours in a major or other minor may apply to WCL minor.
A minimum 2.0 grade point average for all courses in the minor.
