REREAD Sophocles, Philoctetes

Understand the aristocratic appropriation of the heroic tradition and the critique thereof in the plays of the 5th century that we have read, especially in the Philoctetes.

Know the following mythic characters in this play:

Philoctetes, Neoptolemos, Achilles, Odysseus, Agamemnon, Menelaus.

Know the myth of Orpheus and his "anti-heroic" attributes.
