The Educational Technology team provides the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences faculty with instructional design and technology (iDT) services, web services (CWS), and an electronic testing center (ETC).

We are available between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday at 31 Heyne.

Instructional Design & Technology Group supports CLASS faculty as the central resource for technology as it relates to teaching and learning.

We're here to meet the faculty's daily needs, whether that involves assisting with an online class, hybrid class, troubleshooting a course web site, or facilitating a WebCT class.

CLASS web serices

CLASS Web Services (CWS) is the internal resource dedicated to executing the College's web strategy. The CWS team develops and maintains the CLASS web pages and works with departments within the College to update their websites.

This group also supports CLASS faculty and staff by:

Setting up web space on the CLASS server;
Developing and maintaining the web presence of CLASS and its departments;
Supporting faculty and staff efforts to promote CLASS events and services;
Developing and maintaining web applications and dynamic content;
Ensuring departments are compliant with the web design and content guidelines set down by the University of Houston.

Electronic Testing Center

The CLASS Electronic Testing Center is located in 101 Agnes Arnold Hall. It is currently operated and managed by the CLASS IDT group.
