Mark Your Calendars: The Red Block Bash is happening on Thursday, October 1, 2009

Calling all students! Cap off your Thursday at Blaffer Gallery for an entertaining afternoon of art in a student-focused social setting.

The event features:
-Pizza, Drinks, & Popcorn
-Music
-Performances by the UH Dance Ensemble
-Sculpture making fun with duct tape
-A sneak preview of the season premier of PBS’s Art21 and screenings of Josephine Meckseper film shorts
-Photo scavenger hunt with prizes

Blaffer will be giving away Cougar Trading Cards to attendees. UH students: collect all 55 from different events around campus and you'll be awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. Visit www.uh.edu/tradingcards to learn more.

The Red Block Bash is being presented by the Blaffer Student Association in conjunction with the Mitchell Center and the UH Arts Open House.
