- Toby Olson,The Woman Who Escaped From Shame(New York: Random,1986).
A good deal of the novel is set in Mexico, and I translated into Spanish various passages throughout the novel.In a number of cases, Olson gave me the guidelines(situation, mood, characters,etc.)around which he wanted a section in Spanish.Toby Olson is the winner of the PEN/Faulker Award for Best American Fiction,1982.
