Lower Division
Lower Division Studies is responsible for all freshman and sophomore student issues. Over 4,000 students pass through the freshman and sophomore course sequence each semester. Lower Division manages core curriculum related concerns, transfer equivalencies, and English placement exams, as well as advising students about University of Houston academic policies. The Director of Lower Division, along with the advisors, counsels students enrolled in all Freshman and Sophomore courses.
