Weave Dance Company
Weave Dance Company was founded in Houston in 1996 as an all women dance collective that performs fresh and provocative contemporary dance. Their title was chosen to evoke an image of women creating tapestries of experience.
The five women in Weave Dance Company come from variety of backgrounds, yet they share a vision of movement as the medium through which they explore and re-define dance.
Weave has performed in numerous venues in Houston including Diverse Works, Miller Theater, the Majestic Metro, the Wortham Center, the Jewish Community Center, and Stages Repertory Theater. They have also performed in San Jose, Costa Rica.
