Sue Schroeder

Sue Schroeder founded Several Dancers Core in Houston in 1980, and added Atlanta as a second home base in 1986.

Several Dancers Core is a multi-layered organization focusing on providing resources for community artists, offering interactive educational programs for children, and presenting performances in contemporary dance through CORE Performance Company.

As a choreographer, Ms. Schroeder has been creating solo and group works in contemporary dance for over 20 years. She has received recognition through numerous grants and fellowships, as well as being the recipient of the Haldeman Award for Merit and the Cultural Multiplicators from Foreign Countries Award from the Goethe Institute in Munich.

In the Fall of 2000, CORE Performance Company presented two major works by Ms. Schroeder "Remembering" and "Messiah."
