Jennifer Wood

SUCHU was founded in Houston in 1998 by Artistic Director Jennifer Wood.

SUCHU has a list of guiding principles that include using improvisation as the starting place for new material, acknowledging dance as a theatrical art, the quest for new elements to challenge the growth of the company, the mission to encompass a wide variety of moods, themes, and structural forms, and to use skilled dancers regardless of type, with an emphasis on the positive humanity of the individual in the company (humor, kindness, cooperation, and perspective.)
